  15. Here's a quick note to those of you who have experienced difficulties with the
  16. shareware cdev hierDA when used with MacApp applications:
  17.  
  18. Users of hierDA have reported problems when using it with MacApp applications.
  19. The problems were attributable to two things: (1) hierDA created a hierarchical
  20. menu with an id in the range reserved for applications; and (2) MacApp didn't
  21. respect the menu id range for hierarchicals that was reserved for DAs.

  25. There are now no known compatibility problems between applications built with
  26. MacApp 2.0 (FINAL) and hierDA versions .9974 and later. [Note that the current
  27. version of hierDA is 1.1.] The commercial version of hierDA, which is marketed
  28. under the name NowMenus, has no known problems with applications built with
  29. MacApp 2.0 (FINAL).
